Working in the UK

Working in the UK is an experience which will help to enhance your professional development. Once you have made the decision to work in the UK, we can assist you with the process, from giving you guidance on how to apply for a visa, to guidance on applying for the relevant professional registration.
In order to work on a temporary basis in the UK you will need to obtain a Visa. There are various types of visas available which include:
  • Tier 1 General
  • Tier 2 General
  • Tier 5 Youth Mobility
  • Spousal Visa
  • Ancestry Visa
  • Right of Abode

Applicants who are hoping to meet the tier 1 general criteria should note that from the 31st March 2009, the requirements for the Tier 1 (General) scheme have changed and applicants seeking first permission (not extending their stay under HSMP / Tier 1 general) will be required to have a qualification that is equivalent to at least a UK Master’s degree before they will gain any points under the qualifications area. These criteria may be met by candidates who hold a Masters Degree from overseas. We are working with UK Work Permits Limited who will assist you with this assessment and application process.
